On February 4, 2012 I went to my local African Hair Braiding Shop for medium sized micro braids which were $80.00. This was my second time at the shop and I chose to go to them again because I like their prices and their service. Most of the braiders are very pleasant and engage you in conversation. The workers from this shop do not solicit people off of the street to braid their hair- It is mostly by appointment. The shop is set up so that you are sitting in a barber's chair (not a folding chair) facing a mirror. Check out my video below of what my hair looks like:

Thanks. I got them done in Harlem at a store called Aminata's African Hair Braiding Shop. They work by appointments only and are not the braiders that stalk you on 125th.
